Our hotel and campground is one mile from the Badlands National Park’s south entrance (the Interior Entrance), making us one of the closest places to stay for early access to trails, overlooks, and the Ben Reifel Visitor Center without the extra drive from Rapid City or Wall.

Yes, however guests are asked to obey any posted restrictions. Please note that fires may be limited or prohibited at certain times. Please be sure that your fire is completely extinguished before leaving. Do not leave your fire unattended. You are responsible for keeping your fire under control. Firewood is available at the onsite store.

Quiet hours are between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Generators can only be used between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. We ask all guests to respect these hours so everyone can enjoy a peaceful night under the Badlands sky.

Yes, pets are allowed on the property. Pets must be leashed at all time. You must clean up after your pet. Pets (except service animals) are not permitted in swimming areas or bathhouses. For the hotel, please notify the front desk that you have a pet. Pets are permitted only in first floor rooms and a $25 pet fee is required.

The Badlands and Black Hills offer exceptional opportunities to check out its unique wildlife. Bison are most reliably spotted along Sage Creek Rim Road, and bighorn sheep favor rocky overlooks like Pinnacles Overlook and Big Badlands Overlook. Prairie dog towns can be found in several areas of the park. The best locations vary throughout the year, so please ask our knowledgeable locals at the front desk for the day’s hottest spots. Spectacular landscapes are perfect stages for stunning sunsets. Times and locations for the best the setting sun has to offer will change throughout the year, but Pinnacles Overlook and Conata Basin Overlook are consistently reliable choices thanks to their open, west-facing views. Stop by our front desk for the perfect location to see the sun set.

Featuring fantastic photo opportunities, the Badlands Loop Road is an exceptional way to see the Badlands National Park and everything it has to offer. This scenic drive along Highway 240 — a 40-mile state highway according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation — connects the park’s Northeast Entrance to the Pinnacles Entrance near Wall, passing overlooks like Big Badlands, Panorama Point, Yellow Mounds, and Pinnacles, along with the Ben Reifel Visitor Center. Looking for some local knowledge, ask our front desk.

Served daily from 7-10 a.m., our famous Cowboy breakfast options include Cowgirl pancakes, country-style biscuits and gravy, French toast, scrambled eggs, and more. Great options for the “buckaroos” too! Available for an additional fee.

For RV SITES our cancellation policy is noted below:

• For guests with stays shorter than 30 nights (“short-term guests”) (i) cancellations may be made for a full refund of your deposit, Less $20, up to the date that is 14 days or more prior to your scheduled check-in date, (ii) cancellations made after the date that is 13 days prior to your scheduled check-in date, but prior to arrival, will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to all required deposits previously paid, and (iii) no refunds will be given for any cancellation following your check-in date. All refunds will be made in the same form of payment used to secure the reservation.
• Holiday’s require a 14 day notice
